West Anglia Main Line - looking North

The West Anglia Main Line runs from London Liverpool Street to Cambridge and Kings Lynn via Cheshunt, Harlow and Stansted Mountfitchet (interchange for London Stansted Airport). The line was electrified in the late 1950's and early 1960's, and today all passenger services on this line are electric multiple units. (Usually Class 315, 317 and the new Class 379s). This picture is taken at a public bridleway foot crossing, just south of the Wharf Road AHB level crossing - which is located in Wormley, exactly half-way between Broxbourne and Cheshunt stations.
