So... it's been nearly eleven months since I last posted a journal entry here.
My desktop PC was a relatively easy fix, under $200 to have a new power supply and GFX card fitted (as that was on the way out too) and has been back in business since the end of May.
However there have been later developments. My apartment that I have been living in for the past two years is being gutted out and refurbished, this means I have to move out by the end of April. Seeing as I doubt I'll find anywhere this close to town for under $600/month rent I'll be moving back in with my parents temporarily at the end of March.
At the end of May I'll be heading out to Calgary for two weeks to stay with friends and explore the possibility of moving out there - for better job prospects as well as more affordable accommodation, not to mention future plans of being a homeowner and family man.
There will be more stories from me - and artwork commissioned by me - to come. It'll just be a while longer.

...and my desktop just died.

So yeah. This evening after I'd returned from grocery shopping I turned my desktop on hoping to work on some stories (after eating dinner) and it died. Just like that, shut off without warning and wouldn't turn back on. Even when I pulled out the power cord and plugged it back in it wouldn't turn on. Completely dead. It is over ten years old, so I guess something had to go eventually. Most likely it's the power supply.
I've had this happen before - eleven years ago with an even older computer system (Asus A7N8X-Deluxe motherboard and Socket A processor). In that case the power supply went kaput and fried the motherboard as well. I really hope it didn't fry the motherboard this time.
So replies will be a little more sporadic, but I do have two backup systems plus my smartphone. (My mini HP desktop, and my Toshiba laptop).

Paw Patrol Stories and Puppy Love...

Hey everyone! Wow - it's been ages since I posted a journal here! This will just explain a few things going on in my life, in my head and just some other lovey-dovey stuff. If that isn't your thing, then never mind. ^.^
It was just over a year ago now that I started watching Paw Patrol. Instantly I thought it was adorable and soon developed an affinity for Chase. I love all of the characters, what's not to love about the show? Hehe... That's as far as it went though... until just recently when I watched the episodes again and also found out that my eight-month-old nephew is already a fan of the show too!
I've been feeling depressed and lonely for ages, and watching this show makes me feel so much better. It would be awesome to watch with friends and comment on all the adorable scenes and moments in the show... who knows, maybe in the future that will happen.
Though I'm feeling depressed and lonely, I'm not suicidal - that isn't my style as I care about others' feelings more than my own. I'm just more willing to embrace death when it occurs, as it will one day. These stories that I'm writing about my character (Luke - inspired by my almost-given-birth-name in this life) give me some form of comfort that when I do pass onto the next life, I will be there in Adventure Bay interacting - playing and helping out the Paw Patrol pups whenever I can. I have quite a few ideas for stories in-between scenes in the official episodes as well as some new-creation ideas that I'll work on later.
Don't worry about Friendly and Timothy, they're still important to me too and there will be more stories featuring them in the future - it's just right now I want to focus on this adorable TV series and its' characters that I have fallen in love with. Call it 'Puppy Love' if you will, but it's a real feeling. To just want to be there to cuddle the characters when they're sad, or laugh with them when they're happy - or just to be there and witness some of their antics first-hand and interact.
Anyways... that's as far as I'll go with this journal. I don't want to bore you all, do I? ^^

Timothy and Me

Those of you who have known me for a long time will know how much Timothy means to me - he started out as a carbon-copy of someone very dear to me after our friendship went awry nearly eight years ago. Since then he has evolved from my imaginary kid-brother into a little boy locked inside my heart - call him an 'inner child'. The thing is, I want more than anything for him to be brought to life. I want to hear his little voice, to hear his heart beating, and to see him joyously riding his bike. I've created this group to share with you my hopes, dreams and fantasies of the future with my little boy. Will the future turn out the way I fantasize? Probably not, but it's nice to dream!
